Maze: Solve the World's Most Challenging Puzzle
Maze: Solve the World's Most Challenging Puzzle
This is not really a book. This is a building in the shape of a book…a maze. Each numbered page depicts a room in the maze. Tempted? Test your wits against mine. I guarantee that my maze will challenge you to think in ways you’ve never thought before. But beware. One wrong turn and you may never escape!

This is not one of those pencil mazes you worked on as a kid. The entire book is one addictive maze. Each page spread is a room leading to other page/rooms. Your goal is to find the shortest route to the center and back while solving the puzzle in the center room–if you can figure out what the puzzle is. But then, each room is a puzzle filled with clues to decipher. Read the text and examine the gorgeous illustrations carefully. Beware–not every clue can be trusted. If you’re an online gamer, consider this a Web site you can carry wherever you go.

Charles Benjamin “Ben” Riddle

Charles Benjamin “Ben” Riddle
Charles Benjamin “Ben” Riddle (right) was married to Hazel Hill. Uncle Ben served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and then entered the United States Army during WWII. He took part in the first day of the invasion of Europe on D-day at Normandy beach (Omaha Beach). He was in the Battle of the Bulge, one of the few survivors of his unit, where his feet froze. Ben Riddle was born in Claiborne County, Tennessee near New Tazewell Tennessee. Ben passed away in December 1978 in Toledo, Ohio.

Ben’s father was Henry Ridley, “Riddley”, or “Riddle” and he became a widower in his first marriage; Ben was born from the second marriage to Margaret “Maggie” Jane Sturgill-Ridley. Henry Riddle was murdered in a grocery store in New Tazewell, Tennessee on February 4, 1928 in a dispute over a grocery store debt. Herman Wilmore threw a sick of stove wood at Henry and broke his neck. Ben’s widowed mother Maggie Riddle remarried a man named Chester Venable and she had two more girls; later she married Elisha Tolliver Miley. Some of the family stayed in New Tazewell, Tennessee, others moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, and several moved to Monroe, Michigan.

Henry Riddle or Ridley was born in Tennessee on March 15, 1886 and died on Feb. 4, 1928. His parents were Thomas “Tom” Ridley or Riddle and Mary Posley. Margaret “Maggie” Jane Miley was born in Kentucky on December 24, 1903 and passed away on December 1, 1953 in Knoxville, TN. Her parents were William Sturgill and Elizabeth Caudell.
